05/02/2024 - NO FISHING FOR ALL OF 2024

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL ANGLERS - PLEASE READ BELOW

THE LILLY LOCH IS CLOSED FOR ALL OF THE 2024 FISHING SEASON

Due to ongoing essential works being carried out by Scottish Canals at the Lilly Loch, we would like to advise all anglers that unfortunately THE LOCH WILL REMAIN CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC FOR THE ENTIRE 2024 FISHING SEASON - THIS MEANS NO FISHING IS ALLOWED - NO SEASON TICKETS OR DAY TICKETS WILL BE PROVIDED.

The ongoing works have resulted in the areas surrounding the loch being potentially unsafe for anglers and the public, therefore we have taken this decision to remain closed until the works are completed.

The club will provide further information on this website once we have it regarding when fishing will be able to resume, however this will not be during the 2024 season.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause for the upcoming season and look forward to welcoming all anglers back for the 2025 fishing season.

08/01/2023 - Season 2023 Information

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW.

THIS CONTAINS IMPORTANT DETAILS YOU'LL NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW FISHING SEASON, PURCHASING TICKETS AND A FEW REMINDERS OF WHAT'S EXPECTED OF OUR ANGLERS.

The Lilly Loch will re-open for fishing on SATURDAY MARCH 11TH. This date is weather conditions permitting.

The 2023 season will end on SUNDAY OCTOBER 8TH.

THERE WILL BE NO OVERNIGHT FISHING AND NO TENTS ALLOWED AGAIN THIS SEASON. ANYONE TURNING UP WITH TENTS OR INTENDING TO FISH OVERNIGHT WILL BE REFUSED PERMISSION.

We have taken the decision not to increase the prices of any of our tickets going forward into the 2023 season. All day/evening and season tickets will remain at the same as 2022 prices.

Our decision not to increase the ticket prices we charge comes at a time where fish stocking costs, like most other things, have increased significantly. We try to cater for as many anglers as we possibly can by offering fishing at an affordable price and recognise the financial pressures on everyone at this time, so we ask all of our anglers to please abide by the bag limit rules and do not take more fish than you are entitled to. Taking more fish than your bag limit may leave us with no choice but to increase the prices we charge going forward. Please also help us by keeping the loch clean and tidy. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Ticket prices for the 2023 fishing season will be as follows:

WE DO NOT ACCEPT CARD PAYMENTS - CASH ONLY

27/03/2022 - Early Season Update

It has been a productive start to the new fishing season at the Lilly Loch for many anglers, with reports of good catches on bait and the spinner, some catching their bag limits. There have been good sized Rainbow Trout amongst these catches and also some Blue Trout, with a 5lb plus Brown Trout also having been caught (pictured below).

The recent spell of fine weather has seen the good fishing continue for many, with more reports of bag limits being caught over this weekend.

A fresh stocking of fish has recently went in, so here's hoping the good fishing continues for all anglers.
